pondered a bit about time travelling and finally created a NXT based
robot to perform it. Well, I have to admit that the physics part took me some time, but after having re-watched some episodes of a series of scientific lectures I spent most of my youth with absorbing ("everything I know about life I've learned from Star Trek"), the whole stuff wasn't that difficult in the end (it's all in there, you know). ps. You will notice some spatial off-set in the movie. Malevolent minds or such ones with a lack of the meanest physical knowledge (principally the same sort of people ;-)) might be tempted to deduce from it some manipulation of the video itself. But far from it! As we scientists know, teleporting and time-travelling both have a major impact on the space-time structure, resulting in some relativistic effects on the Microsoft windows media video format (I will not delve deeper into this to avoid boring you to death. Just believe in science. You bought the black holes also, didn't you?) pps. Some people complained about the machine obviously violating CPT symmetry. A not completely invalid remark indeed. Yet, without betraying too much (you know, there are ethically weak people out there you wouldn't want to see time-travelling around), I might hint that the whole CPT matter is dealt with by the Heisenberg Compensator ("but where's the inertial damping field generator you need for that?" you will ask, and justifiably so! And I will answer: "have a look at the device between the compensator and the soliton wave drive"). The really difficult thing was to produce these ultracold neutrons in my fridge. |
